The search engine accesses midomi's online music database and uses Melodis Corporation's patented MARS (Multimodal Adaptive Recognition System) to identify the song you searched for. Since its launch, back in January 2007, the midomi database has become one of the largest online music databases, so users will basically get any song they want. In addition to finding music tracks, midomi mobile also allows users to find music videos, playable on handsets via services like YouTube.
