At first I want to tell you a short story. One day I sat in a tram in Berlin and it was boring. So I decided to scan Bluetooth devices. I scaned, scaned and scaned. Some names of the devices were so funny, that I searched more and more. Since this day I search every day in tram, subway or bus until one day came the nice idea to make a game from it. Scan as much Bluetooth Devices as you can. alt My mobile phone is a HTC HD2, but only with Android ! ( Simply the best OS alt ) I read the Android SDK and all other things to know about how to develop programs for Android. Quickly I realized, that developing for Android is on a Java - Basis. Until now I only had experience with the .NET language for Windows. I developt some little nice programs with it, too. But with Java, that was a really new area until I saw it is a little bit like PHP and PHP is one of the language that I love. So I thought it don't would be such difficult as it came. I had much problems, but I read and read and so I got it. alt That was the short story about the idea of the game. I want to tell you how it operates. At first it checks that Bluetooth is available. Then it reads the user data of the found devices. Then the Discovery process starts and it searches for devices. When it find one, it will be added to the list of founded devices, so that it will not beeing marked as a new device when finding it again. Then the data will be uploaded to the central ranking server ( Yes, I also coded a script only for the game to handle the ranking alt You know, I love PHP alt ) and the script will return the current ranking of your device and the number of devices, that have a rank. There is also a Level-System. You have to find a set number of devices to get into the new level. This number is shown just the same as the number of devices you have found.
