THIS APP IS FOR ROOTED PHONES ONLY! AdFree removes most ads in the browser and other apps. It does this by nullifying requests to known hostnames serving ads. If you have problems with this app, or you know of additional hostnames not being filtered, please comment in xda-developers.com forum so it can be fixed! Recent changes: Now built against SDK 7 (Android 2.1+), however the app needs to be uninstalled and reinstalled to work properly, simply upgrading will cause a JAVA EOF error. Current version removed BTC IP option,too many users were causing excessive load on the server,this also has been disabled on the server so not upgrading won't keep this feature. How do I install AdFree Android?
To install this app on your Android or Huawei using Chrome for Android:
- Select Download Latest Version button above to download the APK file
- After download has completed, tap Open
- The following message may appear: "For your security, your phone is not allowed to install unknown apps from this source"
- Tap SETTINGS
- Tap the toggle switch to allow from this source
- Tap <-- or the back button
- Tap INSTALL
Downloading using a different browser?
- Select Download Latest Version button above to download the APK file
- Open the Files app or your preferred file manager
- Select AdFree_Android-479258.apk
- Tap INSTALL
