It is a utility made specifically for devices with cases, especially tablets, because it allows you to send your gadget to sleep just by shutting the case or, if used in a dark room, turning the tablet over on its front.

In tablet mode, Killswitch will use the light sensor and accelerometer to control when your device sleeps. In phone mode, the accelerometer and proximity sensor are used to achieve the same effect.

No-lock is a sub-feature of Killswitch. It will remove the annoying lockscreen (unnecessary in any device with a case and all tablets anyway) using one of two methods: (1) by disabling the locking mechanism entirely, or by (2) automatically unlocking whenever the power button is pressed.

Some devices have superior hardware governors, so we advise people to experiment with lower sensitivity settings for even better functionality.

Compatible with almost all 2.2+ devices that have the appropriate sensors. Top devices are: XOOM, Galaxy Tab, DHD, Gtab, Desire, Galaxy S, Asus Transformer, Acer Iconia.

**After upgrading to a newer version, please go into the settings dialog and enable Killswitch again. This is not optimal, but it saves battery and cpu time by removing the necessity for a constantly running service!**
